This is my first experiment with scheduling a post, so hopefully it will work, and while you are reading this I will be in the UK with my family, celebrating! I am very much looking forward to it. And on a side note, how nice is it that for all intents and purposes, I never need to shop for another handbag to wear to a wedding for the rest of my life? I can pretty much just check that off my list. When I return on Monday, I am going to give myself a bit of a cushion to get back into the swing of things, so hopefully, I will be back in the saddle Tuesday. I hope to have lots of pictures and posts from the wedding. I hope that this a wonderful memorial day weekend for all of you.

I must admit, the driving force behind this blog was my need to somehow, some way, create a tribute to my dear mother Carole Lawrence. She was a great beauty, chef, friend and mother. Sadly, I lost her to cancer February 23rd 2013. Since beginning on February 23rd 2014 it has been my goal to wear a piece of her clothing, jewelry, or an accessory that she passed on to me, for a total of 365 days (Not in a row, sorry, I am also a mother of two, a small business owner, wife and friend. I tried to do it in a row, and it almost broke me.) I believe it is a fitting tribute to this incredible woman with the greatest sense of style I've ever known. A digital archive, a love letter, a journal, a remeberance for your children and future generations. I love you mom.
